"We
were dodging typhoons the whole 63 WestPac trip, but got caught in typhoon Faye
with 20 to 30 foot swells. I kept thinking we were going down. I don’t
think anyone who was ever on the Guide could have been on a rougher ride.
Can you imagine what the seas were like with 80 miles per hour winds? I tried to
get out to take a picture without getting swept overboard and I got a couple but
they didn’t do justice to what it was really like. Don"
