Fellow Guide Shipmates:

We’re seeking former crew members who served on the USS Guide (MSO-447) for the time period she was in service from 1955 to 1972.  We have a reunion scheduled at the Drawbridge Inn in Ft. Mitchell, KY for the above dates. The Drawbridge is 5 miles south of Cincinnati, OH. at the Buttermilk Pike exit (I-75).  When making your reservations call 1-800-354-9793 and be sure to mention you’re making them under the USS Guide (MSO-447) Association and give the above reunion dates.  

Room Rates:  Main Building $79.00 a night

Room Rates: Garrison Building $69.00 a night.  The Garrison is a detached building.

The above reunion rates are good for three days prior to the reunion and three days after the reunion.

You may wonder why we don't have tours set up.  The cost of doing tours can be very expensive and will jack up the cost of your reunion.  We have found out that the majority of the attendees like, or enjoy, going out in a group of 4 or 6 people and carpool to spots of interest. That's why we have the address, etc. of the local convention bureau.  If you need information on the area a phone call or e-mail to the bureau will do it.

Your support will be greatly appreciated.  A great reunion is planned and we hope to see you all in KY.  We'll have a couple excellent Raffles:  Lone Sailor Statue / USS Guide (MSO-447) Data Plaque, a couple 50/50 Raffles and much more. A Hospitality Room for the crew and guests along with daily snacks will be furnished by the USS Guide Association (Pop, Coffee and Beer).  The Registration Fee does not cover your room expenses.

We have a very large Roster of former USS Guide crewmembers.  To receive a copy via e-mail or standard mail contact one the Members below.  If you are not a Member of the USS Guide Association you can send your dues to Harold Foster at the address below.  Dues are $20.00 a year.  Please include your dates onboard the Guide, your Rate or Rank and your Postal Address / Phone Number and e-mail address.  We do have Hats and T-Shirts with the USS Guide (MSO-447) Logo.  Please check with Harold Foster.
